Britney Smith is a ceramics artist from Pittsburgh, PA creating objects, using traditional methods such as coil and pinching techniques, that resonate with individual daily rituals and significant life events. Smith obtained her MA at Carlow University where she was introduced to the process of soda firing, a method that has profoundly influenced her approach to the ceramic medium. Smith is an educator at Carlow University and her work has been exhibited nationally.
