Member of the Month: Alec Hoogland

Alec Hoogland graduated in 2016 with a degree in ceramics. After graduating, he spent 1.5 years working in a production studio. In 2018, Alec made the transition to a full-time studio practice. With works fired both in wood firing and oxidation, Alec aims to make the connection of the landscapes that cover the midwest – both industrial and rural and the people that use them. They have been a host on the Michiana Pottery Tour since 2021. Image: Morgan Hoogland Photography
